Creating Systems to Save Lives and Improve Communities

How we work

Thank you for your interest in ERSLA- Emergency Response Services for Latin America. ERSLA is committed to improving the emergency response services of Latin American countries in a way that is effective and sustainable. To achieve this goal, they have a multifaceted approach.

In many areas of Latin America, emergency response equipment is scarcely available. It is hard to save lives if the equipment just isn’t there.

Therefore ERSLA solicits used or retired equipment from other countries that maybe be of use in Latin America. We also work with other organizations that perform similar programs in the areas where they work to try to improve the flow of donations.

Of course the equipment will not be of much use if the emergency responders aren’t adequately trained on how to use it. Therefore ERSLA always welcomes volunteers who would like to share their talents and expertise with emergency responders here in Latin America. Whether it is an organized group, or an individual looking for a way to improve the lives of others, ERSLA can arrange logistics and other needs to make sure our visiting presenters can focus on their training. For those who may only have a short amount of time to visit, ERSLA can arrange a “volunteer vacation” where a few days can be spent sharing knowledge, then the rest of the visit can be enjoyed at one of the many tourist destinations.

ERSLA believes that sustainability in emergency response services of a country can best be achieved by community integration. ERSLA works with local emergency responders to identify non-emergency projects that improve the quality of life for people in local communities.Through these projects, community members have an opportunity to build relationships with the emergency responders and collectively find ways to improve emergency services in a non-intrusive manner.

ERSLA is committed to saving lives and improving communities. Donate now, or contact us through this website to find other ways you can contribute.
